How Can I Tell If The Mechanic Shop Really Gave Me New Brakes?
Friday, 24th October 2008
I recently went to [omitting brake shop name] and got my front brakes changed. 2 days after I noticed my rear brakes started sqeaking, even though the shop said my rear brakes would be fine for another few months. So I took my car back in and had the rear brakes changed.
As soon as I left the shop I heard the squeaking once again so I took it back and told them. They took the car back in and for almost an hour they had it back there. They finished, took the car for a test drive and confirmed that all was well.
After I left the shop I reached no more than maybe 5 minutes away and heard the squeaking again. I never thought of it before but now the shop seems real shady. How can I tell if they really did change my brakes without taking it to another brake shop?
