I Need Information About Jamaica.. Please..

I need information about if kingston is a sure city? how is the subway or metro?, is cheaper, i'm mexican lol...
If you know approximately with how much money i can to rent a apartment or room cause' i think to travel to kingston in june 2009 three two months., i want to know with how much money?? i can eat, pay for the aparment and use the bus?? How is the people? king, irritable??.... Or what advice you can tell me?? i wanna learn english and i don't want study in usa...
