What keeps my kid up at night?

I have a 7 yr old son, whom I do NOT give any sugar or red40 invested beverages or candies after noon time yet he doesn\'t fall asleep until after 10pm. He get\'s up at 6 am!!! I wonder WHAT keeps him up and I wonder what I can do about it.
